VEXHOLD starts with JMEngine, our own C++ engine. Phase 1, step 3 is complete: the Platform, Renderer, UI and App modules are in place and the sandbox runs. This is an engine milestone; VEXHOLD itself is not playable yet.
The sandbox shows a lit, textured cube, with a free-flying camera and an ImGui overlay. The Platform module handles keyboard, mouse and controller input. The renderer uses OpenGL behind our own RHI.
Debug, Release and headless builds have been tested according to the project handoff. The next engine step is Scene and ECS, with a glTF asset loader. Lighting, shadows and day/night follow after that.
